I was born June 2nd 1984 in Bradenton, Florida. I moved to New York when I was about 4 years old. I grew up mainly in Central Islip, NY. I graduated High School from Central Islip Senior High School at the end of June in 2002. Shortly after that I left for Navy boot camp July 10th 2002.
My journey in the Navy started in Great Lakes, Illinois. Boot Camp was actually fun for me. I met a lot of great people and it helped change my life. After my lovely 10 weeks in Great Lakes I went to Meridian, Mississippi. I went to school for administration. The school the Navy sent me to be fun. MS was a big eye opener and huge culture shock for me. I am used to walking right down the road to get whatever I might need. In MS it was 30 miles to the nearest piece of civilization. I made it through and moved on to Norfolk, Virginia. I had received orders to the USS Kearsarge (LHD 3).
I arrived on the USS Kearsarge the day after Thanksgiving. Shortly after arriving there I went home for Christmas vacation. When I returned I found out we were deploying at the beginning of January. I called my family to let them know. At least I got to see them for Christmas.
I did three deployments on the USS Kearsarge in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. I volunteered for the SSDF (Ship's Self Defense Force). I thought it was fun being on the security team. I won't go into details here about my deployments but I will probably explain them in my Journal.
Currently I am still in the Navy. I am on recruiting duty and going full-time to school. I have been getting into politics pretty heavily so don't mind if I rant off somewhere on my page about that. I am a proud card carrying member of the Libertarian Party.
As for my personal life... I am married to Jamie Cavaggioni. She is the best thing that's ever happened to me and supports me in whatever I do. She is the love of my life and my best friend.
